CLASS CHANGES

Please note that on Thursday, 09 September, the evening classes (normally at Blackhall) will be held in the Seminar Room at the Royal Victoria Hospital, 13 Craigleith Road, Edinburgh, EH4 2DN:

Enter the hospital grounds at the entrance archway near the foot of Craigleith Road (near comely bank roundabout). Take the turning on the left to the car park. Walk to the main entrance at the top of the drive, turn left through door and go to the first floor and turn right to the seminar room:

Pilates in Edinburgh

Biography
Hello and welcome to Sidey’s Pilates. My name is Diane Sidey. I have 15 years experience in the fitness industry and i have been teaching Pilates classes in Edinburgh since 2002. I am a fully qualified Pilates Level 3 instructor and have appropriate Public Liability insurance. I am the sole proprietor of Sidey’s Pilates and operate all the classes myself.

Qualifications

Pilates Level 3 NVQ (Active IQ)
Pilates Level 3 Exercise and Fitness Knowledge Theory Module (Active IQ)
Pilates OCR Certificate (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations)
Aerobics: RSA Certificate

Why Choose Pilates?
Pilates is a balanced safe relaxing form of exercise. It combines the focus on suppleness that you find in yoga with strength movements you find in the gym. By correcting our posture, through Pilates we can strengthen our bodies against future injuries.

What Happens During A Pilates Session?
Most of my classes are group mat work classes with a maximum of 13 people. The class normally begins with a few gentle stretches to relax you and get you focused, then we move onto a series of exercises designed to strengthen your core muscles. During the class the whole body is challenged through various movements leaving my clients lengthened, energised and yet relaxed.

My clients leave the class feeling taller, leaner, stretched, toned and totally relaxed!
